Broken Capillaries/Rosacea

Broken Capillaries are enlarged blood vessels that have widened due to a weakness in the vein wall or a problem with the valves that control the flow of blood. Broken veins are the small, superficial purple or red veins stretching like a web under the skin.

Xeo Vascular laser NDYAG enables the specialist to collapse the veins and broken capillaries without doing any damage to the surrounding outer layers of skin. The wavelength discharged through the pulse of the machine enables the light to reach the targeted veins under the skin, whilst also improving the overall appearance of the skin by evening out skin tone and encouraging the production of collagen.

WHAT DOES IT FEEL LIKE?

Most clients describe the sensation to be like the snap of a rubber band on the skin as the pulses of energy hit the skin. In some cases, clients may opt to have a numbing cream applied before their treatments. After the treatment however, pain from the treatment is minimal to nonexistent.

WHAT RESULTS CAN I EXPECT?

Laser Vein treatment works by breaking up veins so that they can be dissolved and absorbed by the face. This does not happen immediately. Veins usually dissolve over the course of several weeks. If clients take all the necessary precautions following their treatments, a vein-disorder can be treated for long term results.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER TREATMENT?

The area is a little puffy and red, generally settling over a few hours. In some people some swelling persists for several days.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?

Depending on the area to be treated, treatment may vary from as little as one up to twelve treatments for really large birthmarks. These are undertaken at monthly intervals.

ARE THESE TREATMENTS SAFE?

Yes. Laser and Intense Pulse Light (IPL) systems have been used safely for millions of treatments worldwide. These systems treat only the targeted vessels, leaving the surrounding tissue intact. However, some redness may occur temporarily after the treatment.

DOES IT LEAVE A SCAR?

No. The surface of the skin is not damaged. Very rarely, small scabs or blisters may form. These generally heal with no problems. Moist wound healing, by applying an emolient such as paw paw cream will encourage quick healing and recovery.
