Cool glide Vein therapy for the Face & Body. For Men & women of all skin tones and types.

Are you fed up feeling that you have to cover up whilst walking the beautiful beaches in Port Macquarie to hide those unsightly spider veins. Do you dream of getting back into your favourite little cocktail dress again. We at East Coast Laser & Cosmetic Clinic can offer a solution for you with our state-of-the-art, Cutera Coolglide vein therapy treatment.

The only laser in Port Macquarie to remove your small and large unsightly veins to both the face and legs. Cutera’s Cool glide system combines the ideal wavelength with the most flexible parameters to deliver a superior vascular laser system.

It treats a broad range of vessels from tiny spider veins to deep blue reticular veins, superficial telangiectasias, rosacea and poikiloderma of civatte, blood blisters or haemangioma, even Port wine stains are treated quickly, safely and effectively. No need for painful injections or months of wearing tight stockings.

Our sophisticated device delivers pulses of light energy which cause the blood within the vein to coagulate, eventually destroying the vessel which is later absorbed by your body. Blood flow will then be redirected to veins deeper below your skin’s surface, where it should be. We can offer you the latest and most effective technology with our Coolglide laser vein removal. Larger veins such as varicose veins may require other forms of investigation and treatment. Our staff will be able to advise you on the best course of treatment to give you the best results.

The depth of penetration is controlled through spot sizes 3,5,7 and 10mn. Our highly skilled Nurses who have received specialised training in vein therapy, adjust the variable pulse duration to adjust to different vessel diameters. We aim to achieve moderate haemoglobin absorption with little melanin absorption so that skin colour remains even toned.

Although many patients report few side effects, those most commonly noticed are immediate reddening and local swelling of the skin. These effects typically last for less than 24 hours. Some patients may experience bruising and skin discolouration. This can take up to 10 weeks or more to fade. We recommend treatments in mid winter when you are likely to be covered and not likely to expose your legs to excessive sun and heat.

Patients generally resume most normal activities immediately. However, it is recommended that you avoid vigorous activities such as strenuous exercise for the first 24 hours after vein therapy treatment.

The use of sunscreen is recommended on any treated areas exposed to the sun.

Often, patients find that one or two treatments are sufficient. However, the number of treatments necessary depends on the number, colour and size of the vessels being treated.

Most patients experience a stinging sensation as the vessels receive a zap of energy. Though not necessary we do offer topical anaesthetic prior to your treatment to anyone that prefers pain relief.

The majority of patients find that most treated veins have shown significant improvement within 6- 10 weeks. Skin staining can take up to three months but will fade and leave you with more youthful, veinless skin.
